Katie McMahon is best known as the original voice of Riverdance. Her voice has been described by the Irish Times as "Poetry, perfection and purity." Now she lives in the USA and produces her own music with her band and troupe of Irish dancers. On June 18th Katie was nominated by the Irish Voice as one of the Top 75 Women of Influence in the Irish American Community. Her award was presented to her in New York City at the Irish Consulate's residence. Katie has also been nominated for an award for her latest CD St. Patrick's Day by Just Plain Folks. This award is known in the industry as the "Grassroots Grammies" and Katie is delighted to be reckognized by this community.
